Welcome to crystalpalace.co.uk
Crystal Palace is an area of South London between Dulwich, Croydon and Brixton, although its name has been associated with many different things. The phrase Crystal Palace was originally coined by Punch magazine to describe The Great Exhibition, an iron and glass building designed by Joseph Paxton which was moved to Crystal Palace Park in 1854 and destroyed by fire on 30th November 1936.
PPG Place is also known as the Crystal Palace. It is a complex in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania consisting of six buildings within three city blocks and five and a half acres, with a roof height of 194 metres. It was named after its main tenant, PPG Industries (formerly Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company) who initiated the project for its headquarters. The buildings are all of matching glass design consisting of 19,750 pieces of glass. The buildings contain over one million square feet of PPG's Solarban 550 Twindow.
